Implementing a Novel Crop Production Support Model
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced a new support program for crop production and agricultural development for the years 2025-2027. The aim of the program is to increase efficiency and quality in agricultural production, contribute to covering production costs, and promote sustainability and security of food supply.
Under the new program, farmers will receive basic support, planned production support, and production development support. Basic support will cover a portion of diesel and fertilizer costs for all products, with varying support amounts for different categories of crops. Additional support will be provided to farmers who produce crops within the scope of planned production, such as barley, safflower, sunflower, wheat, and beans.
To encourage productivity and quality, support will also be given for the use of certified seeds, organic agriculture, and good agricultural practices. Other supports include rental support for products stored in licensed warehouses, premium support for participation in the Farm Accounting Data Network system, and agricultural extension and consultancy support.
The new support program aims to make agricultural production more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. It will come into effect on January 1, 2025, with certain provisions regarding licensed warehouses taking effect on May 1, 2025. Farmers are encouraged to take advantage of these supports to improve their production and ensure a stable and secure food supply for the country.
