A tragic incident occurred at the Bukhara State Medical Institute, as an Indian student, Navas Nasmel, passed away due to acute respiratory failure. The initial diagnosis revealed that the cause of death was total pneumonia of bilateral lungs, leading to this severe medical condition.

Navas Nasmel, a second-year student at the institute, fell ill on February 28 in his student residence room. An ambulance was immediately called, and he was swiftly transported to the Bukhara regional infectious disease hospital. Despite receiving necessary medical care and treatment, the young student unfortunately could not survive the critical condition.

The institute’s administration promptly informed the Embassy of India in the country and the family members of Navas Nasmel about the tragic incident. Additionally, the Bukhara city prosecutor’s office has initiated an investigation into the matter to understand the circumstances surrounding the student’s untimely demise.
