International Health Tourism Forum and Conference in Bafra – BRTK
The 6th World Health Tourism Forum and Conference opened with a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel. The event, which took place at the Limak Hotel in Bafra, started with a speech by World Health Council Term President Deputy Ahmet Savaşan, followed by a screening of a TRNC promotional film.
During the ceremony, Emin Çakmak, Founding President of the World Health Tourism Council, highlighted the significance of health tourism and the role of the council in directing this field. Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova emphasized the importance of TRNC in Health Tourism and its continuous growth in the tourism sector.
Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu shed light on TRNC’s tourism potential with its pristine nature, environment, and historical sites. Despite the long journey to reach the country, Minister Ataoğlu assured that TRNC’s hospitals are now equipped to compete at a global level.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel addressed the conference delegates, emphasizing the country’s progress in Health Tourism and its commitment to further develop the health sector. The conference, attended by representatives from 56 countries, culminated in the election of a new term president.
