International Oil and Gas University held Science Day conference
Turkmenistan Celebrates Science Day with Conference on Oil and Gas Industry
On the occasion of Science Day, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakayev organized a conference on “The role of Turkmen science in the international oil and gas industry.” The conference was attended by students and teachers from across the country and participants from the university’s Balkan branch, who joined via video link.
During the event, representatives from Turkmen universities presented the results of their research activities and discussed prospects for cooperation with foreign partners in various fields of science. They highlighted the comprehensive efforts being made in Turkmenistan to strengthen scientific research and create a digital economy based on advanced technologies and theoretical sciences. Additionally, there was a focus on training qualified specialists and increasing the enthusiasm of talented young people for science.
The International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakayev, where the conference was held, is a leading example of successful scientific activity in Turkmenistan. The university hosted the inaugural international conference on “Scientific and Technical Possibilities of Obtaining Hydrogen Energy from Natural Gas” in February 2023. The university’s professors and students regularly publish scientific articles, with over 240 articles published in domestic and foreign journals between January and May 2023.
