Iranian Foreign Ministry Website Hacked – Breaking News Update

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was hit by a cyber attack recently, resulting in the website being taken offline for a brief period. A hacker group that claims responsibility for the attack said it managed to obtain confidential documents from the ministry. Among the information reportedly seized were identity documents, ministry correspondence, phone numbers, and a list of thousands of ministry employees.
The hacked website’s homepage displayed the phrase “Death to Khamenei, long live Rajevi,” along with photos of the leaders of the People’s Mujahideen Organization, considered a terrorist organization in Iran. The hacker group responsible for the attack is named “Kıyam ta Serneguni” (Kiyam Until the Fallen) and had previously claimed to have seized 200,000 files and documents by hacking the website of the Islamic Culture and Communication Institution.
Cyber attacks have become a more common occurrence in recent years, with experts warning that governments and companies alike need to take greater precautions to protect their sensitive information. In this case, Iranian officials have not yet commented on whether the seized information will be made public or if any measures will be taken to prevent future attacks. However, the incident highlights the growing threat of cybercrime and the need for improved cybersecurity measures to protect against such attacks.
