ISG-BIR Hosts Regulation Evaluation Workshop for BRTK

The Occupational Health and Safety Experts Association (ISG-BIR) recently held a workshop focused on implementing changes to regulations aimed at reducing work accidents.

During the workshop, a report was prepared outlining the agreed-upon regulations. This report will be presented to the technical committee established by the Labor Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in order to update the Regulation on Risk Assessment Principles in Workplaces under the Occupational Health and Safety Law.

Speaking at the Regulation Evaluation Workshop held at the CIU Çevik Uraz Conference Hall, İSG-Bir President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkay Özgör emphasized the importance of occupational health and safety, especially in light of recent fatal accidents.

Özgör highlighted that the updated regulations will assist OHS experts in conducting more accurate risk assessments, enabling workplaces to effectively implement preventive measures against identified risks. The workshop report, which has been approved by all participants, will be forwarded to the technical committee for further review and implementation.

These regulatory changes reflect a commitment to improving occupational health and safety practices, ultimately aiming to create safer work environments for all employees.
