“Israel Breaks Ceasefire, Strikes Gaza Within 24 Hours”

Rocket Fired with Technical Fault in Gaza Conflict

Amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, a rocket was fired by Palestinian groups with a “technical error” from the Orak Operations Room. The groups reportedly remain committed to the ceasefire agreement following the attack.

The Israeli army had launched an attack on Gaza earlier this month, targeting the executive staff of the Islamic Jihad Movement. Unfortunately, the attack led to the loss of 33 Palestinian lives, including six children and three women, while 93 Palestinians, including 32 children and 17 women, were injured.

Palestinian groups responded by launching over 1000 rockets and mortar shells. An Israeli citizen lost their life on May 11 after a rocket hit a residential building in the city of Rehovot. This led to the Israeli military destroying 20 buildings in various parts of Gaza, while 49 houses were rendered unusable, and 940 houses were damaged.

After days of violence, the two sides agreed to a ceasefire agreement on May 13. It is hoped that the ceasefire agreement will bring some much-needed respite to the citizens living in the affected regions.
