Israeli Forces Detain Palestinians in Raids on West Bank
Israeli soldiers have arrested several Palestinian citizens during overnight raids on refugee camps and towns in the West Bank. According to reports from the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, nine Palestinians were taken from their homes during the raids on the Aqaba Jabr Refugee Camp in Jericho. Israeli soldiers, accompanied by military bulldozers, are continuing their operations in the camp.
In addition to the raids on the refugee camp, Israeli soldiers entered houses in the town of Beni Naim in Al-Khalil, also known as Hebron, and detained 11 Palestinians after conducting inspections. Similar raids were conducted in the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, resulting in the detention of 11 Palestinians.
These actions by Israeli forces have sparked protests and demonstrations in response. Two demonstrations were held in the city of Ramallah and at the al-Jalzun Refugee Camp to condemn Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Tensions between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian youth have also escalated in various parts of the West Bank. Incidents of clashes have been reported as the situation remains tense throughout the region.
