Israel Detains Over 6,000 Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli Forces Increase Detentions in West Bank Since Gaza Attack
Following the attack on Gaza by Israeli forces on October 7, the Palestinian Prisoners Association and the Prisoners and Released Delegation affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization have issued a joint written statement regarding the recent detentions in the West Bank.
The statement revealed that since last night, Israeli forces have detained at least 45 Palestinians, including children. This brings the total number of people detained in the West Bank since October 7 to 6,025.
In addition to the detentions, the statement highlighted other violations experienced by Palestinians, including assault, threats against individuals and their families, the demolition and damaging of houses, and direct fire with the intent to kill.
The attacks and detentions in the West Bank have escalated since the Israeli forces’ assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023. This has resulted in an increase in raids and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The situation is raising concerns among human rights organizations and is calling for international attention and intervention to address the ongoing violations and detentions in the region. The Palestinian authorities are urging for immediate action to ensure the safety and protection of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
