Israel Expected to Act Swiftly on Court Rulings
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Reacts to International Court of Justice Decision on Gaza
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement in response to the interim injunction decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the situation in Gaza. The statement expressed support for the Court’s decision, which ordered Israel to cease its attacks on Rafah and open the Rafah border gate to humanitarian aid.
“We welcome the interim injunction decision of the International Court of Justice, ordering Israel to stop its attacks on Rafah in Gaza and immediately open the Rafah border gate to humanitarian aid,” the statement said. “No country in the world is above the law. We expect all decisions taken by the Court to be quickly implemented by Israel. To ensure this, we call on the UN Security Council to do its part.”
The International Court of Justice’s new injunctions require Israel to halt its attacks on Rafah, allow humanitarian aid to reach the region, and permit UN officials to enter Gaza to investigate allegations of crimes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the importance of these measures in ensuring the protection and well-being of the people in Gaza.
It is now up to Israel to comply with the Court’s decision and take immediate action to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with international partners to support the people of Gaza during this critical time.
