Israeli Airstrike Hits Southern Beirut

Israeli Army Hits Hezbollah Weapons Depot in Beirut

The Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichai Adraee recently claimed in a post on his social media account that they successfully hit a Hezbollah weapons depot in the south of Beirut. This attack comes after Adraee had previously threatened to target locations in southern Beirut that he claimed belonged to Hezbollah.

This recent attack marks the first time Israel has launched an airstrike on Beirut since October 10. The Israeli army has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, and has been carrying out multiple air strikes on Lebanon’s southern cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions since September 23.

Tragically, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported that a total of 2,350 people, including 104 children and 194 women, have lost their lives as a result of the Israeli attacks since October 8, 2023. Additionally, 10,906 people have been injured in the ongoing conflict.

The situation in Lebanon remains tense as the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah shows no signs of slowing down. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely in hopes of finding a peaceful resolution to the ongoing violence.
