PFDK hands 8-match bans to Bitexen Antalyaspor and RAMS Başakşehir players for ideological propaganda

The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) has announced an 8-match ban for Bitexen Antalyaspor’s Israeli player Sagiv Jehezkel and Eden Karzev, who recently left RAMS Başakşehir, for making ideological propaganda.

In addition to the ban, both Antalyaspor and Başakşehir clubs were fined 97,500 Turkish liras each for the same reason.

The PFDK also awarded fines to several others in various amounts. Yukatel Adana Demirspor President Murat Sancak received 39,000 liras, while Galatasaray, Mondihome Kayserispor, EMS Yapı Sivasspor, and Gaziantep FK were fined 112,000 liras each. Trabzonspor received a fine of 168,000 liras, VavaCars Fatih Karagümrük was fined 200,000 liras, and Bitexen Antalyaspor received a fine of 168,000 liras. The club was also sentenced to a fine of 1,000 liras.

Furthermore, Sakaryaspor President Cumhur Genç was sentenced to 21 days of deprivation of rights, while Erzurumspor President Ahmet Dal was sentenced to 15 days of deprivation of rights.

Sakaryaspor players Murat Cem Akpınar and Hasan Kılıç were also handed bans of 3 matches and 4 matches, respectively.

The PFDK’s decision comes as a strong statement against acts of ideological propaganda within the Turkish football community. It is a reminder that such actions will not be tolerated and will be met with strict disciplinary measures.
