Israeli settlers aggress Palestinian homes and property
Israeli settlers continue to attack Palestinian communities in the West Bank, causing damage and displacing families. Hasan Melihat, Chairman of the Bedouin Rights Defense Organization (BEYDER), reported that a group of armed invaders, protected by Israeli forces, attacked the Arab al-Melihat Bedouin community in Jericho, raiding 12 houses and causing harm to residents. The settlers opened fire, threw tear gas bombs, and beat Palestinians during the raids.
In addition to the attack on al-Melihat, Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported attacks on villages in Nablus, Ramallah, and other areas. Settlers targeted Palestinians, their homes, and their businesses, while Israeli forces detained young people in El-Miğyer village near Kef Malik village.
Further reports from the Separation Wall and the Council for Combating Jewish Settlements revealed that settlers near Ramallah attacked farmers, uprooted olive trees, and targeted Palestinian vehicles in various locations. The Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp in Hebron was also subject to raids by settlers.
According to the council’s annual data, there were 2,410 attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank in 2023. Additionally, 25 Bedouin communities were displaced, with 22 of these displacements occurring after October 7. The ongoing attacks highlight the need for international intervention to protect Palestinian communities and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
