Recent Attack on Medical Personnel in Gaza by Israeli Army
The ongoing conflict in the Gaza strip has once again taken a devastating turn with the recent attack on medical personnel by the Israeli army. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Abu Mehadi, who was attempting to procure medicine and medical supplies for the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city, was targeted by Israeli snipers.
The statement alleges that the Israeli snipers, positioned on nearby buildings close to the medical supply warehouses, opened fire on Abu Mehadi as well as the driver of the vehicle and a third person, all of whom sustained injuries. Furthermore, it was reported that the ambulance that arrived to transport Abu Mehadi and the injured individuals was also fired upon.
As of now, the Israeli army has not issued any statement regarding the incident. This attack has once again brought attention to the dire situation in Gaza, where medical personnel and facilities continue to be targeted despite international humanitarian laws.
