Israeli Soldiers Injure Three Palestinians in West Bank Raid
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that three Palestinians were injured, with one sustaining serious head injuries, as a result of fire opened by Israeli soldiers during a raid on the city of Qalqilya in the north of the West Bank. Shocking images have emerged showing the moments when two of the three Palestinians were directly targeted and shot by Israeli soldiers with real bullets.
Security camera footage revealed two unarmed young men fleeing from Israeli soldiers. One was on an electric scooter and the other was running, both of whom were directly targeted by the soldiers. The young man running was shot in the head and fell to the ground, while the other was shot in the foot. The injured young man dragged himself to protect himself from the fire of the Israeli soldiers, first hiding behind a parked vehicle and then entering a nearby building.
According to anti-illegal Jewish settlement activist, Mohammed al-Sheikh, the incidents broke out between the city’s residents and soldiers after Israeli forces raided the city on the previous evening. Al-Sheikh also stated that some people were injured when Israeli forces opened fire with real bullets during the events. It is believed that the two young people in the images are Palestinians who managed to escape from Israeli soldiers who intervened in the protests using real bullets.
The use of live ammunition during the raid has drawn criticism and condemnation from human rights organizations and activists. The incident has once again highlighted the ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the region, sparking concerns about the escalation of violence and the impact on civilian lives.
