Israel’s Intense Artillery Fire Forces Northern Gaza Residents to Flee
Israeli Army Continues Clashes with Palestinian Groups in Northern Gaza
Clashes between the Israeli army and various Palestinian groups in northern Gaza have been ongoing for hours, with intense artillery fire being reported in areas near Beit Lahya, Beit Hanun, and the Beit Hanun (Erez) Border Gate.
As a result of the heavy bombardment by the Israeli army, a new wave of migration from the town of Beit Lahya to the Cibaliya Refugee Camp has been observed. In a statement released by Hamas’s military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades claimed to have targeted Israeli soldiers and a military vehicle with Yasin-105 missiles in the Beit Hanun region.
Beit Hanun, situated in the north of the Gaza Strip, was the first area to be invaded by the Israeli army by land following the attacks that began on October 7. Since the start of Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip, a devastating toll has been reported, with 34,151 Palestinians, including at least 14,685 children and 9,670 women, being killed, and 77,084 individuals being injured.
Reports indicate that there are still thousands of bodies trapped under the rubble, while civilian infrastructure is being systematically destroyed, including hospitals and educational institutions where people sought shelter during the conflict.
The situation in northern Gaza remains tense as the clashes between the Israeli army and Palestinian groups continue to escalate. The international community has been called upon to intervene and help bring about a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the region.
