
Istanbul Mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu, Arrested – Breaking News

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has initiated investigations into Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor (IMM) President Ekrem Imamoglu and 99 other suspects on charges including “being a criminal organization manager,” “being a member of the criminal organization,” “bribery,” “fraud,” “seizing personal data unlawfully,” and “manipulating tender processes.”
After police operations were conducted, some suspects were taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, where the proceedings were completed in the Criminal Criminal Court of Peace. The judge in charge has ordered the arrest of IMM President Ekrem Imamoglu.
While Imamoglu is now in custody, the investigation into the other suspects is ongoing within the judicial system. The situation has raised concerns and questions among the public, as the legal process unfolds.
