Istanbulspor Demands Şükrü Saracoğlu for Galatasaray Match: Latest Sports News
Istanbulspor, a football team in Turkey, is trying to secure a venue for their match against Galatasaray on May 16. The team had initially requested Vodafone Park from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), but their request was rejected due to the Champions League final that is set to take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium. As a result, Istanbulspor has made a new request for the Olympic Stadium.
According to Tekin Aksan, the Vice President of Istanbulspor, the team is primarily concerned with the arrival of fans and box office income rather than the stadium they play in. Aksan stated that if the TFF allows it, the team is willing to play in Kadıköy as well.
It remains to be seen whether the TFF will grant Istanbulspor’s request for the Olympic Stadium. In the meantime, the team is focused on preparing for their upcoming match against Galatasaray. The match will be an important one for both teams as they compete for a spot in the top four of the Turkish Super Lig.
