İYİ Party Issues Statement Addressing Allegations of Akşener Leaving Office
The İYİ Party has categorically denied recent claims made against its leader, Ms. Meral Akşener. The party’s Media Relations Directorate issued a written statement addressing the allegations that Akşener had stated she would leave office if the party did not achieve sufficient votes on May 14.
The statement dismissed the claims as “unrealistic,” emphasizing that Ms. Akşener had never made such a statement. The party further clarified that these allegations are being used to manipulate public opinion and undermine the party’s principled stance.
“We urge the public to be discerning and cautious in the face of such unrealistic claims in order to ensure they are correctly informed,” the statement concluded.
The İYİ Party’s response comes in the wake of reports circulating on various news websites, which claim that Ms. Akşener made the statement during a General Administrative Board meeting on January 8.
The party’s strong denial highlights its commitment to transparency and integrity, countering any attempts to deceive the public about its leadership and political intentions.
