Two Little Sisters Receive Heartwarming Gift After Earthquake
On February 6, 2023, an earthquake struck the city of Hatay, leaving many people displaced and buildings destroyed. Among those affected were 11-year-old Lina and 8-year-old Hira Safa, who were caught in the earthquake while they were visiting. The girls had brought their precious books from the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Alaeddin Yavaşça Children’s Library, hoping to enjoy them during their stay.
Unfortunately, when the earthquake hit, the sisters were forced to leave their books behind as they escaped the crumbling building. The books were lost in the rubble, leaving the girls understandably upset. However, their sadness turned to joy when they returned home to Gaziantep.
Determined to make things right, the sisters went to the library to buy new books. Little did they know, they were in for a heartwarming surprise. Instead of having to pay for new books, the girls were gifted new ones with a note that said, “Let books be your source of hope.”
The girls’ story touched the hearts of many, and their act of kindness in providing the sisters with new books did not go unnoticed. The girls’ smiles conveyed their gratitude as they held the new books in their hands.
