Kant resident spreads Hizb ut-Tahrir videos on social media
Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported on March 16, 2024, that a member of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir was detained in Panfilov district. According to the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region, the service for countering extremism and illegal migration of the Internal Affair Department of Panfilov district discovered a Facebook account distributing audio and video materials related to Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.
A criminal case has been opened under article 332 “Production and distribution of extremist materials” of the Criminal Code. The resident of Kant town, aged 38, was brought in for investigation and confessed to distributing materials of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
