The eagerly awaited Karaelmas Tourism Express, set to debut on the Ankara-Zonguldak line on April 12, will see the participation of a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan in an “info tour” today.

Karabük Governor Mustafa Yavuz extended an invitation to all to explore the wonders of the Western Black Sea on April 12. Yavuz highlighted that the upcoming info tour, part of the Karaelmas Tourism Express, will offer protocol members, press representatives, and tourism professionals a glimpse of the region’s beauty.

“This express is the realization of our dreams for the Western Black Sea Region,” Yavuz remarked. “Guests will have the opportunity to visit Safranbolu, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its historical significance and unique architecture, followed by a journey through the Yenice forests, one of Europe’s 100 protected hotspots.”

Yavuz further noted that travelers will traverse picturesque valleys, canyons, and lush greenery en route to the Black Sea. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to explore the Ancient City of Hadrianopolis in Eskipazar, boasting a rich history dating back 5,500 years.

The governor expressed optimism that the project will bolster accommodation rates, boost the regional economy, and enhance tourism in the area.

The Karaelmas Tourism Express will operate three-day excursions every week, from Friday to Sunday, offering travelers a comprehensive experience. Yavuz assured that Karabük has completed all necessary preparations and eagerly awaits passengers.

“We aim to attract the tourism masses traveling by train,” said Şebnem Urgancıoğlu, Member of the Western Black Sea Region Representative Board of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB). Highlighting the project’s collaborative effort between various entities, Urgancıoğlu emphasized the strategic planning behind the tour.

The tour will include overnight stays in Safranbolu and Zonguldak, with stops at various points of interest along the route. Urgancıoğlu stressed the importance of attracting a diverse tourism audience through train travel, offering a unique experience for visitors.

The launch of the Karaelmas Tourism Express marks a significant milestone for the Western Black Sea Region, promising to elevate the area’s tourism sector and showcase its natural and cultural treasures to a broader audience.
