Karakol Wins People’s Choice Award for Green Destinations at ITB Berlin 2024
Karakol has been recognized as the winner of the People’s Choice Awards 2024 category at the prestigious international sustainability platform, Green Destinations. The announcement was made at the world’s largest tourism exhibition ITB Berlin 2024.
In 2023, Karakol was listed as one of the top 100 successful sustainable destinations at the Green Destinations 2023 competition, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and innovation in tourism on the international stage.
The People’s Choice Award was determined through international online voting, with Karakol receiving an impressive 2,892 votes. This victory is a testament to the active support of residents from Kyrgyzstan and around the world who recognized and endorsed Karakol’s efforts in sustainable tourism.
