Astana – Kazakh freestyle skier Anastasia Gorodko has once again made her country proud by winning her second gold medal in the parallel moguls event at the 2025 FISU World University Games Winter in Torino. The event, which took place from Jan. 13-23, saw Gorodko display her exceptional skills on the slopes, outperforming her competitors to claim the top spot. Ayaulym Amrenova also showcased her talent by winning the silver medal in the same event.

Not to be outdone, Anton Bondarev brought home a silver medal in the men’s parallel moguls event, narrowly missing out on the gold to a Japanese athlete in the final showdown.

In addition to the impressive performances of the freestyle skiers, Kazakh para-athletes Denis Zinov and Roman Kurbanov also made their mark at the games. Zinov clinched a silver medal, while Kurbanov secured a bronze in the 10 kilometers freestyle skiing event on Jan. 15.
