ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s Garysh Sapary national space company has recently inked agreements with Mongolia and Congo to collaborate on the development of joint satellites, as reported by Kazinform on Feb. 24. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry confirmed this significant milestone in Kazakhstan’s space industry.
Both Mongolia and Congo have expressed keen interest in Kazakhstan’s advanced Earth remote sensing technologies, particularly for monitoring agriculture, ecology, and natural resources. This collaboration marks a key step towards enhancing capabilities in these vital sectors for the benefit of both countries.
Furthermore, Garysh Sapary has been actively engaged in negotiations for exporting satellites since 2024. Guinea-Bissau has also emerged as a potential partner, expressing interest in acquiring Kazakh-made satellites for various applications.
The agreements with Mongolia and Congo highlight Kazakhstan’s growing presence in the global space industry and its commitment to fostering international partnerships for technological advancements.
