Kazakhstan Introduces Healthcare Program for Central Asian Students
Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) and the Astana Medical University have teamed up to launch a new healthcare program for medical students from Central Asian countries. The program, named Avicenna, aims to provide training courses on various aspects of medical education and also includes a cultural program to allow students to explore the sights of Astana.
According to Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov, the initiative is funded by KazAID and will cater to 17 talented students from the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan. The program is scheduled to run from April 12 to May 2, offering a valuable opportunity for young healthcare professionals in the region to enhance their skills and knowledge.
This collaboration highlights Kazakhstan’s commitment to fostering academic ties and supporting the development of future healthcare leaders in Central Asia. By investing in the education and training of medical students from neighboring countries, Kazakhstan is actively contributing to the advancement of the healthcare sector in the region.
