A Financial Crime Investigation Leads to Arrests and Company Appointments

Following a detailed investigation by the teams of the Istanbul Financial Crimes Branch Directorate, a series of arrests and company appointments have been made in relation to fraudulent financial activities.

The investigation revealed that money had been transferred between companies owned by family members, and eventually collected in a company named Milda Gayrimenkul, owned by Engin Polat. This money was then used to purchase real estate and numerous vehicles. Subsequently, the teams conducted simultaneous operations at 43 addresses in Istanbul, Ankara, Yalova, Ordu, Kırklareli, and Manisa in order to apprehend the suspects involved.

Further investigation uncovered that a medical company owned by Dilan and Engin Polat had given naming rights to another company in Ankara. Attempts had also been made to transfer 1.8 million liras from the account of this company to the personal accounts of the partners.

As a result of the investigation, 14 suspects, including Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and Sıla Doğu, have been arrested. An additional 10 suspects were released on the condition of judicial control.

Additionally, the judge ruled in favor of appointing trustees for 27 companies involved in the fraudulent activities.
