Kickoff: New Season of Football Championship Begins in Turkmenistan Orient
The Turkmenistan Football Championship is set to kick off on March 4th with eight clubs competing in a quadruple round-robin format. The participating teams include “Arkadag”, “Ahal”, “Altyn Asyr”, “Shagadam”, “Nebitchi”, “Ashgabat”, “Merv”, and “Kopetdag”.
The first two rounds of the championship will run from March 4th to June 22nd, with the third and fourth rounds scheduled for the latter part of the season.
Last season’s champions, FC “Arkadag”, will be looking to defend their title. “Ahal” and “Altyn Asyr” finished second and third, respectively, in the previous championship.
