Kılıçdaroğlu pledges to introduce credit card reform in Turkey

Opposing political parties in Turkey have been making headlines as the presidential election approaches. One of the candidates, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu from the Nation Alliance, recently promised to take over the credit card debts of citizens if he is elected.
Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the economic depression caused by current President Erdogan was the reason behind his promise. He reassured citizens that the state’s Treasury would collect only the principal amount of their credit card debt in 36 monthly installments.
To spread his message, Kılıçdaroğlu not only reached out to citizens through social media but also sent text messages to many mobile phone users. His message included a call to action for citizens to come to the ballot box and show their love for their homeland.
In response to Kılıçdaroğlu’s promise, the AK Party Deputy Chairman Hamza Dağ warned citizens to be cautious of fraudulent calls and text messages claiming to deposit money into their accounts and clear their credit card debts. Dağ advised the public not to believe such claims made by people introducing themselves as politicians or presidential candidates.
As the election draws closer, both the Nation Alliance and the AK Party are trying to appeal to voters with their plans and promises. It remains to be seen which party will emerge victorious and lead the country for the next term.
