Kumtor Gold Company Exceeds Gold Production Plan in 2024

Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) has exceeded its gold production plan for the first nine months of 2024, producing 7,960 kilograms of gold, which is 81 kilograms more than expected. The company’s report on the results of production activities also revealed that KGC’s revenue for this period reached $579.8 million, surpassing the planned $463.4 million.
The company’s net profit amounted to $216.6 million, indicating a high level of efficiency that significantly exceeded the plan of $87.9 million. Additionally, KGC fulfilled its obligations to the state by paying 10.037 billion soms in taxes and other payments.
Furthermore, KGC has started the development of the Togolok gold deposit and geological exploration of the Dzhangart area, located 200 kilometers from the Kumtor mine. The company also announced the launch of a project for the underground extraction of gold-bearing ore at the Kumtor mine, as well as plans to extract gold from the spent ore in the mine’s tailing dumps in the near future.
