Kyrgyz Wrestler Crowned Youth World Champion in Greco-Roman Wrestling
Kyrgyz wrestler Razzak Beishekeev has once again made his country proud by winning a gold medal at the world championship for athletes under 23 years old. The championship, which took place in Albania, saw Beishekeev compete in the weight category up to 67 kilograms, where he displayed exceptional wrestling skills throughout the competition.
Beishekeev’s journey to victory included impressive wins against tough opponents. In the 1/16 finals, he defeated Daniel Dayani from Albania with a score of 1:10. He continued his winning streak in the 1/8 finals by beating Farid Khalilov from Azerbaijan with a score of 4:1. In the 1/4 finals, Beishekeev triumphed over Haruto Yabe from Japan with a score of 9:0. In the semi-finals, he faced off against Arslanbek Salimov from Poland and secured a victory with a score of 10:0.
In the final fight, Beishekeev went head-to-head with Georgian wrestler Diego Chkhikvadze and emerged victorious with a score of 6:1, thus clinching the world champion title. This remarkable achievement adds to Beishekeev’s already impressive list of accolades, which include being the 2021 World Cadet Champion, a bronze medalist at the Asian Championship, and a participant in the 2023 Asian Games.
