Kyrgyzstan to Introduce Remote Apostille Issuance System

Kyrgyzstan to Launch Automated Information System for Electronic Apostille

Bishkek – April 22, 2025 – The Ministry of Justice in Kyrgyzstan has announced the upcoming launch of an automated information system called “Electronic Apostille.” This system aims to streamline the process of apostille certification through a single digital platform.

The Ministry of Justice explained that the Electronic Apostille system will cover the entire process, from registering applications for apostille to issuing the electronic stamp “Apostille” and paying the necessary state fees through a secure payment gateway. This new system will also integrate with the existing Tunduk platform, allowing for automatic data exchange with government agencies without the need for additional certificates or samples of signatures and seals from citizens.

One of the key benefits of the Electronic Apostille system is the reduction of corruption risks. With this new system in place, citizens will be able to conveniently receive an apostille remotely, without the need for multiple visits to government offices.

An apostille is a specialized stamp that verifies the authenticity of documents for recognition in other countries. Since 2020, the issuance of apostilles has been the responsibility of the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Justice, with updated fees implemented in 2023.

The introduction of the Electronic Apostille system marks a significant step towards digitizing and modernizing the apostille certification process in Kyrgyzstan, making it more efficient and convenient for both government institutions and citizens alike.
