Kyrgyzstan Ensures Compliance with International Obligations on Sanctioned Goods
Bishkek – On October 3, 2024, the Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to upholding its obligations to international partners regarding the prevention of sanctioned goods entering its territory. Speaking at a briefing in Bishkek, Amangeldiev emphasized that the country has never allowed such goods to pass through its borders.
“We have obligations within the framework of which we work. These goods have never reached us or passed through our territory,” said Amangeldiev.
To further enhance control and transparency in trade flows within the country, Kyrgyzstan has established a trading company. This company will play a crucial role in ensuring that international obligations are met effectively.
During the briefing, Amangeldiev also outlined the process of registering foreign firms in Kyrgyzstan. The aim is to streamline trade processes and ensure that Kyrgyz enterprises are involved in transparent and compliant trade activities.
It is worth noting that on August 23, the Cabinet of Ministers took the initiative to establish a trading company dedicated to monitoring trade flows involving Kyrgyz enterprises. This move aims to prevent the entry of goods that are not authorized for import into the country.
Kyrgyzstan’s proactive measures demonstrate its commitment to maintaining strong partnerships with international allies and upholding regulations that promote fair and legal trade practices.
