Kyrgyzstan Wins Second Place in Russian Traveler Awards
Bishkek – 09:44, 14 December 2024 – Kyrgyzstan has achieved a great success by being among the top three winners of the annual Russian Traveler Awards. The country has secured the second place in the nomination “Tourism in the CIS”.
The Department of Tourism in Kyrgyzstan reported that the ceremony to honor the winners and prize-winners took place in Moscow. The Russian Traveler Awards, organized by Russian Traveler magazine, conducts an online vote for readers. In 2024, at least 64 regions of Russia, CIS countries, and other states participated in the competition with over 500 applications.
Over 500,000 people participated in the voting process, where winners were chosen through open online voting and the votes of an expert jury. In the category “Tourism in the CIS”, Azerbaijan claimed the first place, followed by Kyrgyzstan in second place, and Uzbekistan in third.
This recognition highlights the efforts of Kyrgyzstan in promoting tourism and attracting visitors to explore the beauty and culture of the country. It is a significant achievement that will further boost the tourism industry and showcase Kyrgyzstan as a top travel destination in the region.
