Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Agriculture Honors Top Farmers

Bishkek – The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry in Kyrgyzstan has announced that farmer Nurbek Otogonov has been named the champion in growing strawberries in the country. The ministry’s press service reported that Otogonov harvested an impressive 37 tons of strawberries per hectare of land.

In addition to Otogonov’s success, Nursultan Ulanbek uulu has also been recognized as the champion in gardening for harvesting up to 30 tons of apples per hectare of garden.

To celebrate these achievements, the Ministry of Agriculture has organized an event on January 29 at 10 a.m. at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Konstantin Skryabin. Specialists and farmers who have excelled in gardening will walk the red carpet and share their experiences. They will also introduce modern technologies for growing strawberries and apples and reveal secrets for increasing yields.
