Leaders’ rally program continues at full speed

The countdown to the May 14 elections is in full swing in Turkey, and the presidential candidates of the two main alliances are continuing their campaigns with a series of rallies in various cities across the country. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is running as the candidate of the People’s Alliance, will be holding rallies in 10 different cities this week, including Antalya, Konya, Rize, Trabzon, Ordu, and Samsun, with the big Istanbul Meeting set to take place on May 7. In the final week leading up to the elections, Erdogan will focus on holding rallies in the various districts of Istanbul, holding events on May 11, 12, and 13.

Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who is also the Chairman of the opposition People’s Republican Party (CHP), is continuing his own campaign with rallies in a further 25 districts. Until May 7, Kilicdaroglu will be holding rallies in 13 cities, including Ağrı, Antalya, Van, Sinop, Kırşehir, and Erzincan. In the final week leading up to the elections, he will be holding rallies in 12 more cities, with the last one taking place in Samsun and Ankara on May 12.

One interesting development to note is that Erdogan and Kilicdaroglu will be holding rallies in different squares on the same day, at the same time, on Sunday, May 7. Erdogan’s rally was originally scheduled to take place at Atatürk Airport’s Nation’s Garden, while Kilicdaroglu’s rally was set to be held at Maltepe Orhangazi City Park. However, Kilicdaroglu’s meeting schedule has been changed, and his rally in Istanbul has been moved forward by one day to May 6.

As both candidates continue to campaign tirelessly and with great enthusiasm, it remains to be seen which of the two will ultimately emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential election.
