Netanyahu Invites Liberman to Join Emergency Government and Offers Ministry
In a recent report from the Israeli press, it has been revealed that Prime Minister Netanyahu has extended an invitation to Avigdor Liberman, the leader of the “Israel Beytanu” (Israel Our Home) Party, to join the security cabinet of the emergency government. Additionally, Netanyahu has offered Liberman a ministry within the government.
It has been confirmed that Liberman has accepted this invitation, which comes as the Israeli Parliament approved the establishment of an “emergency government” just yesterday. In a statement released by the parliament, it was announced that the emergency government, which will be operational during the conflict with the Gaza Strip, received approval with the support of 64 deputies, while four votes were cast against it.
According to Israeli state television KAN, the government has been formed through an agreement between Prime Minister Netanyahu and opposition member Benny Gantz. As part of the agreement, five members of Gantz’s party, the Blue-White party, will serve as ministers within the government.
However, it is important to note that Yair Lapid, Israel’s main opposition leader and former Prime Minister, has declined to join this government.
