Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp misses out on Champions League qualification after 6 years
Manchester United Secures Fourth Place in Premier League while Liverpool Fails to Get Champions League Visa
Manchester United secured their place in the Champions League next season after beating Chelsea 4-1 at home. This win also confirmed the top 4 places in the Premier League with only one week left in the season. Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United will have Champions League visas for the next season.
However, Liverpool failed to secure their place in the Champions League after 6 seasons. Despite their impressive performance in recent years under the management of Jurgen Klopp, they finished the league in fifth place. Liverpool had become one of the indispensables of the Champions League under Klopp’s guidance and even lifted the trophy in 2019.
The Reds will now have to compete in the Europa League next season. It is a major disappointment for Liverpool and their fans as they could not join the Giants League. Klopp will have to make some significant changes in his team to ensure they can challenge for a higher position in the Premier League next year.
As for the four teams that have secured their Champions League visas, they can now prepare for the upcoming season. With the coronavirus pandemic, it remains unclear when next season will start, but the teams will have plenty of time to prepare and aim for the top.
