Two Men Detained in Bishkek for Drug Sales
Two men from Batken district have been detained in Bishkek on suspicion of drug sales, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The suspects, aged 26 and 51, were found in possession of a large quantity of drugs.
The Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a tip-off about unknown individuals selling drugs in Batken district. A case was opened under the article “Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Law enforcement officers stopped a Hyundai car in Bishkek on the night of August 15, driven by the suspects. Four packages of hashish weighing a total of 1,991 grams were confiscated during a search of the vehicle.
