Man arrested for running drug lab in Chirchik residence

Law enforcement officers in the Tashkent region have made a significant bust in their ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade. A drug laboratory was discovered, and authorities found 42 liters of various chemical liquids that could produce up to 10 kg of synthetic drugs.

The Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs (MDIA) has been working with other law enforcement agencies to crack down on the illicit trade of drugs, psychotropic substances, and potent narcotics. A recent operation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man in the Uchtepa district who was found in possession of strong drugs and synthetic substances. Further investigation revealed that he was sourcing these substances from a 34-year-old man named Jasur, who was known to authorities due to a prior criminal record.

Upon searching Jasur’s residence in Chirchik, authorities uncovered a drug laboratory where the 42 liters of chemical liquids, along with narcotics and powerful drugs, were found. Additionally, another individual named Hamid was detained, and a large quantity of drugs was seized from his home as well.

The MDIA has stated that the 42 liters of chemicals confiscated during the operation were enough to produce synthetic drugs capable of poisoning over 20,000 people. In total, drugs and potent substances worth $813,700 were seized as a result of the operation.

This successful bust serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to protect communities from the dangers of illegal drugs and substances. Authorities will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and dismantle illegal drug operations in the region.
