Man Blocks Tractor to Save Puppies

A farmer in Turkey’s Salihli district was temporarily stopped from plowing a tomato field on May 25 when a rare Spurred Maiden Bird appeared in front of his tractor. Hakan Alpar, who described the bird’s behavior as blocking his way and reacting to his movements, soon realized that it was trying to protect its eggs. Alpar did not disturb the bird and left the row empty, continuing to plow other parts of the field. He later shared images of the bird and received tens of thousands of likes on social media. Alpar also expressed admiration for the bird’s maternal instincts, saying he wished more mothers could show such protective behavior towards their offspring.
