Man Shot with Hunting Rifle by Person with Restraining Order – Latest News from Turkey
The suspect who injured a woman waiting at the bus stop in Burdur by opening fire with a hunting rifle has been apprehended and arrested.
The incident took place in Şirinevler Mahallesi Armağan İlci Boulevard, where the suspect, identified as EE, fled the scene after the armed attack. However, following a police operation in the EE Bucak district, the suspect was successfully detained and brought to the center for further procedures.
After the completion of police procedures, the suspect was referred to the courthouse where the criminal judgeship of peace decided to arrest him on charges of “intentional wounding with a weapon”.
It was revealed that the victim, R.K., who was shot in the leg during the attack, had previously obtained a restraining order against the suspect. Despite the injury, R.K. was reported to be in good health and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief as the suspect reportedly targeted the victim from across the road with a hunting rifle. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as authorities continue their investigation into the matter.
