Marshall Cavendish Books Now Available in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek – The Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Director of Marshall Cavendish Education Peng Yim Siew to promote the transformation of education in the country. This collaboration aims to enhance students’ science and math literacy in preparation for PISA, with Marshall Cavendish Education providing training for trainers, e-learning resources, and mentoring. Additionally, the agreement includes the introduction of the Cerebry artificial intelligence platform for students, potentially being translated into Kyrgyz and Russian languages to reach more students and improve learning efficiency.

Moreover, a cooperation agreement was also signed between Okuu Kitebi publishing house and Marshall publishing house in Singapore. This agreement grants Okuu Kitebi the rights to translate and adapt educational materials in math and science for grades 1-11, as well as in English for grade 6.

Minister Kendirbaeva described the signing of the memorandum as a “landmark event” and a “decisive step” towards modernizing the national education system. She emphasized the importance of the partnership with Marshall Cavendish publishing house, known for its extensive experience and global reach in education.

Peng Yim Siew expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting its significance in enhancing the education sector in Kyrgyzstan and contributing to the implementation of the Altyn Kazyk program.

The ongoing efforts to revamp the curriculum in Kyrgyzstan will focus on STEM subjects, English language, and computer science, drawing inspiration from successful education systems like that of Singapore. The education reform will be based on the methodology of the University of Cambridge, aiming to elevate the quality of education and provide students with essential skills for the future.
