Mass Arrests of Suspected Criminals in Fergana

“Fergana Special Raids Lead to Arrest of 50 Wanted Persons and Suspected Gang Members”

In a series of special raids known as “Dolzarb 40 kunlik” in Fergana, law enforcement authorities have arrested 50 wanted persons and more than 25 individuals suspected of gang involvement. The Fergana regional Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) reported that a total of 96 crimes were detected and a number of representatives of the criminal world were apprehended as part of these special preventive measures.

According to the regional DIA, the 50 wanted persons were apprehended for crimes they had committed and then hid from law enforcement authorities. Additionally, more than 25 individuals involved in gang activities were arrested on charges of hooliganism.

The raids also yielded a significant amount of seized material evidence, including 5 kg 921 grams of narcotics, 414 pieces of psychotropic substances, 42 weapons, 221 ammunition, 61 computers containing various criminal materials, as well as phones and prohibited religious literature.

One specific operative event in the Toshlok district uncovered the illegal storage of 8 combat hunting weapons, ammunition, cartridges, gunpowder, and combat ammunition in a citizen’s house.

Notably, during the course of these events, B. Khamidov, who had been convicted under several articles of the Criminal Code and was labeled a “criminal aggressor” for inflicting serious injuries to a person, was also apprehended. Khamidov had been hiding in the city of Margilon.
