“Massive Market Fire Erupts in Surkhandarya Captured on Video”
A two-story department store in the Shurchi district of the Surkhandarya region caught fire in the morning of May 31. According to the regional administration, the fire started at 05:11 on the second floor of the 85 sq. m store. Fire and rescue crews reached the site in three minutes and were able to localize the fire at 05:19. It took another hour and a half to completely extinguish it by 06:40.
Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries reported. However, the cause of the fire and the extent of material damage are yet to be established.
