Mauro Icardi Makes Comeback with Mask in Trabzonspor Match
Galatasaray’s Mauro Icardi returning to Turkey with Wanda Nara
Galatasaray’s striker Mauro Icardi, who had been sidelined due to injury, is making his way back to Turkey alongside his wife, Wanda Nara. The Argentinian star, who shared a photo while boarding the plane, is set to make his return with the away match against Trabzonspor in the 21st week of the Super League.
Icardi is expected to arrive in Istanbul around 10:30 PM and will undergo ear, nose, throat, and facial examinations by the club doctors starting tomorrow.
After it was determined that Icardi did not require surgery, he is set to undergo three days of training before travelling to Trabzon with the team on Saturday.
It is anticipated that Icardi will be back on the field with a specially prepared mask for the match on Sunday, January 21 at 7:00 PM, but he will have to wait about a month to reclaim his jersey. During this time, he missed four matches, including games against Konyaspor, Sivasspor, and Kayserispor in the Super League, as well as the match against Ümraniyespor in the Turkish Cup, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
