Mecnun Otyakmaz Re-elected as President of Sivasspor
Sivasspor Football Club held its ordinary general assembly meeting, where Mecnun Otyakmaz was elected as the president for another term. The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek and members of political parties.
During the assembly, the reports of the management and supervisory board were read, and the balance sheet was released. Otyakmaz emphasized that the club would undertake effective work in the new period, acknowledging previous shortcomings in communication with fans. He expressed his commitment to improve communication efforts and address any gaps that have been filled with speculation and gossip.
Otyakmaz, who has been serving as the chairman of Sivasspor since 2004, thanked his colleagues for their dedication and support throughout the ups and downs of the club. He expressed gratitude to those who stood by the team during challenging times, such as his arrest due to a plot against him and the club. Otyakmaz regretted that some of his colleagues would not be part of the new management due to exhaustion caused by recent events. However, he remained optimistic about achieving great things with the support of the new management and the fans.
The newly elected board of directors, chaired by Mecnun Otyakmaz, aims to address economic challenges, resolve coaching problems, and focus on player transfers.
