Medical Crisis: 155 Dead and 357 Injured Brought to Aqsa Martyrs Hospital by Doctors Without Borders

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reports on dire situation in Gaza
In a recent statement, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) indicated that there is no safe place in Gaza, and no one is safe. This comes after the Israeli army bombed the “Al-Magazi” and “Al-Burayj” refugee camps on 24 December, resulting in 155 dead and 357 injured being brought to Aqsa Martyrs Hospital on 28 December.
Carolina Lopez, MSF’s Emergency Coordinator in Gaza, expressed concern about the sounds of the Israeli army’s bombardment on the neighborhoods northeast of the hospital, which could be heard from the vicinity of the refugee camps. The situation has led to a call for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza to prevent further deaths and injuries, ensure the unhindered delivery of aid, and significantly increase the provision of medical needs.
This latest update from MSF follows a previous report on December 25, in which they reported that 131 dead and 209 injured were brought to Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after Israel targeted the same refugee camps.
The escalating violence in Gaza continues to be a cause for great concern, and MSF is calling for immediate action to address the urgent humanitarian needs in the region.
