MHP Forms “Earthquake Zone Investigation Committee” to Assist Victims
In response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş on February 6, MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) has established an “Earthquake Zone Investigation Committee” to address the needs of the affected communities. The committee, consisting of seven MHP deputies, aims to meet with the earthquake victims, consult with relevant institutions and NGOs, and ensure that their lives return to normal as quickly as possible.
MHP Deputy Chairman, Semih Yalçın, emphasized the fresh pain caused by the earthquakes and expressed the party’s commitment to supporting the victims. He announced that the formation of the committee was ordered by MHP Chairman, Devlet Bahçeli. The members of the committee include Adana Deputy Muharrem Varlı, Gaziantep Deputy Sermet Atay, Hatay Deputy Lütfü Kaşıkçı, Şanlıurfa Deputy İbrahim Özyavuz, Malatya Deputy Mehmet Celal Fendoğlu, Elazığ Deputy Semih Işıkver, and Kilis Deputy Mustafa Demir.
In addition to meeting with the earthquake victims to determine their needs and wishes, the committee will also visit governorships, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), and various non-governmental organizations. The goal is to gather information and exchange views on the necessary measures to be taken in the region.
The formation of this committee reflects MHP’s commitment to providing assistance and support to those affected by natural disasters. By actively engaging with the affected communities and collaborating with relevant stakeholders, MHP hopes to contribute to the recovery and reconstruction efforts in the earthquake-stricken areas.
