Minimum Wage Meeting: Time and Date Revealed for 2nd Session!
The 15-person commission, made up of workers, employers, and government representatives, is currently in the process of negotiating and determining the new minimum wage for the year 2025. Following the first meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, all attention is now focused on the upcoming second meeting and the potential increase rate for the new year. The Commission will convene for its second meeting to evaluate the offers put forward by employers.
But when exactly is this second meeting taking place? According to TÜRK-İŞ Deputy Chairman Ramazan Ağar, the commission will meet on December 16 at 14:30 to further discuss the minimum wage.
As for the potential increase in the minimum wage, various scenarios are being considered, with raise rates ranging from 25 percent to 45 percent. In January 2024, the minimum wage saw a significant increase of 49.11 percent, reaching 17,002 lira. With no interim increase in July 2024, the calculations for the potential minimum wage in 2025 are as follows:
– 20% INCREASE: 20,402.40 TL
– 25% INCREASE: 21,252.50 TL
– 30% INCREASE: 22,102.60 TL
– 35% INCREASE: 22,952.70 TL
– 40% INCREASE: 23,802.80 TL
– 45% INCREASE: 24,652.90 TL
– 50% INCREASE: 25,503 TL
